Recent junk on my new project dumped here :3

As some of you noticed, I was a part of the team behind Aniventure 2008, the first Bulgarian Anime convention. For those of you that live in the US, Europe, or, well, anywhere that Anime/Comic conventions are just so normal, I'd say you have it pretty good. Comic industry as a whole is quite dead here XD

BUT! We're trying to change this, so we've gathered all the strength and fans we have and organized an event which, I think, you can call an AnimeCon.

It was pretty hard but it was definitely a great experience and well, having all those five hundred plus people roaming around visiting the events, some of you thanking you occasionally for going through all the pain of organizing..yeah, it gives you quite the adrenalin rush! It kinda gives a sense of purpose to everyday boring life...

'Fcourse five-six hundred visitors aren't that much, but yeah, it WAS for us and we're hoping to double that number next year!

So yeah, had a blast this weekend, sold most of my comics  wore a "staff" badge, felt important

No MAJOR failures in the programme, almost no damage done to the halls we rented, so Phew.
 Everything went more or less as we planned it. Of course there is LOTS of room for improvement, but still, I'm happy.

We're already making plans about next year but we decided we need a well deserved rest till the end of October before starting again.

So on Sunday I'm heading to the peaceful countryside where I'll eat pancakes and other yummy stuff made by my grandma, stay away from the cursed PC for a change and just relax.

..ZOMG! I just remembered none of my USB ports work! Which means I can' get ANY new music into my mp3 player!!! CUUUuursezzz...

Snatched a meme from hope_assassin. Writing all of what I need to say about my life right now would take an eternity, so i settled with a meme.  

Here come teh chara designs! Not final, o'course. I seem to be having trouble with the black haired one. Also, I can't fix the ages. I keep drawing them like they are 10, then like they are 17...I'd like to go for ~14, so just imagine they are. Oh, yes, and since it's MY stuff, I need to make sure gender is correct : both male XD I mention it just in case :P..CRAP, my English is getting awful ><

Wonderful longhair_2108   uploaded Poe no Ichizoku vol 1-4 for which I'm soo grateful. I am absolutely stunned by Paku Romi! Gasp! I mean, everyone else is wonderful and there's so many actors I love, but Inever thought I'd be so impressed with her, considering the fact I've listened to her many times *___*

Back form Rila. I feel..mentally exhausted..that is, i felt, before i had a nice day of zero responsibility today ^^

Certain people drained all my energy with constant blabbing and stupidity. Spending almost every second (not count the time i was sleeping) with the same people also added serious points. Summary:

Some people are tougher than i thought
Some people are seriously sick
Some people are nicer than i thought
Some people are meaner than i thought
Some people are sadder than I thought...

I learned some new things about my colleagues

We did what we could on the main entrance vault and sides. some work still remained tho, which wasn't surprising considering some people left earlier and some were good at wasting their time. Ah, here i go again. Sorry, i'm still working on the ' I only care how well *I* do ' part ><

Last two days some buddies came over. Of course, they came to relax and see the monastery too, but, call me egocentric, I doubt they would've come otherwise. I felt overwhelmed since this kind of thing is something some of my friends never did. It was kind of a first.
 *happy desu*

Last but not least, I'm going back to the monastery on Friday T_T It was a good chance to finally earn some money myself and  feel useful. I really don't feel like working there again, but in the same time I'm glad i accepted.

I've also been updating my DA account. I cleared EVERYTHING on y dev watch list (cleared as in deleted) cause I would've never gotten to commenting on 400+ deviations . I got scared even remembering the number, so i decided to start anew. better than not starting at all, I think.

Manga isn't going anywhere, tho I did some chara design, which I'll post here or on DA.

 

As of tomorrow..oops, today that is, I'll be away for my practice at the Rila Monastery. I'll probably be back around the 5th.
Meanwhile, stuff that happened:

..well, nuffin much. Oh, I watched Samurai7 till the end! Finally! I've watched the first 5 eps several times but for some reason I never could get past ep 11...I feel accomplished.
My oppinion for some charas:

Kirara: well, it WAS Fumiko Orikasa, otherwise, I wouldn't have noticed her that much. Which, in itself  IS good. Meaning that she wasn't annoying.

Kanbei: Candy~~ :33

Kyuzo: EYEcandy: He just moves so nice. :3 And isn't suffering or fighting some internal struggle. He's just there so we can sigh and thank him for being silent and cool. ^^

Katsushiro: I wonder, was it just because of Paku Romi that I once found him so cute. Well, now my eyes were fixed on the above mentioned, but still, I thought he was cute :3 He's just lovable. And, poor guy, I say, how can anyone be SO unlucky XD Shit just sticks on him.

Komachi: GASP! She actually wasn't annoying either

Well, I'll go look for some AMV's now and..dammit, I still can't get to my tenipuri rant..dammit...

And last, but not least is a recent pic I'm in love with, even if I say so myself. I have this new idea for a manga ^^. But man, after almost killing myself with all this interior drawings I did in my last comic book, my new story will need some MACHINERY and, AIRPLANES!!! O____o Wonder where exactly do I get those masochistic ideas form ><'':

Sigh, This is going to be long. I'll try my best to summarize the most important events of the past..well, month judging by my last entry. Maybe it's best to make a list...

1. Finished everything I had for the end of the semester. Okay, most of the things. I spent my last days FULL TIME 12 hrs at the Academy flying from one studio to the next. I was panicking, really. The morning of the last day I got there and my retouches for the painting wern't ready and several hours later there was even less hope of them being so by the end of the day. Not to mention there were the retouches for my icon waiting in the next room AND another painting waiting to be removed from her temporary frame to a new one, cleaned etc. Oh and I hadn't one phototgraph made for the documentation @_@
But mind you, diplomacy is an even greater weapon than the pen! So instead of panicking, by 13 o'clock I was standing there, looking cool while I had one of my colleagues doing the retouches and  another transferring the second painting to its new frame. XD Nothing is free, of course, but writing a few pages more of  some report was nothing compared to my mental health that day.

2. Went to visit the Bunkasai thing. I was disappointed with the "hardcore" anime fans, who never paid attention to us, but pleasantly surprised at the newbies beaming with excitement.

3."Conference" was the way it usually is: us pretending we have done something sensible and the professors pretending they believe we did. Nothing new XD

4. Exams are being a parody too. We pretend to study and everyone pretends we have an exam. How idyllic.

5. Publishers being a bitch never answered my email for the competition even to inform me I didn't get the job, geez. MIMC are silent as usual, but this time I knew not to expect the results before July.

6. I have a lovely idea for a new manga. I think I purposely said I want to go to Rila for the practices (AGAIN) just so i can have the time to think it over and draw some stuff. Photob was being a bitch for a few days and meanwhile I got almost everything wiped out of my pc cause I want it reformatted. So it won't be until next week that i'll be able to post recent drawings.

Ah enough of this rant. I don't want to make a separate entry, so I'll pour all of my monthly trash  under a neat cut (which I finally got the hang of)(* And after numerous edits, I realized, hey, the only people that would POSSIBLY read my entry are going to read after the cut anyway, so why bother XD)

Oh come on, you didin't seriously think I was going to skip this part. Actually, considering the fact that there's almost no one who reads this journal, it feels like I'm talking to myself, but what..ever..

Paku Romi, MinaJun, Kaida Yuki, Saiga Mitsuki and, after hearing the credits, of course, Fumiko Orikasa (not that i would have guessed otherwise ><) As well as Tohsihiko Seki ^^ (and many others but I was crawling under my desk with excitement before I could finish the list)
Isn't that the most pwnsome cast ever? All great female seiyuu (and an almost shonen-only story lol :D) in one place.
I must say, most of all, I was impressed by Paku Romi's play at some dramatic point ( I think some chara was dying, though I cannot possibly comprehend how could he be dying when he's a vampire that had lived for quite some time. One little fire couldn't possibly hurt him that much) Anyway, I was forced to stop doing whatever I was and listen cause it was so powerful O_O
Speaking of which, i was similarly affected by Naomi Shindoh  in the first episode of Fantastic Children. Her character sounded so genuinely hysterical that it was actually scary @_@ Awesome

I rarely show appreciation of the "actor" part in "voice actor" That's by no means to say japanese seiyuu are not good actors! I think however that, like music, or more like, everything in animated movies, it's best if a voice isn't shoved at your face..well, ears. Meaning that if you're too conscious of a character being "voiced"  it's not natural. (I on my part of course AM quite concious of it, but this is entirely a problem concerning MY braincells :D) There are times however that great acting can have more impact than the animation itself O_O And that's when I really go WOW! And it's the same with movies actually, I think it's incredible when you can feel the movie melting away leaving only pure emotion...rare indeed, but worth it.

I'm considering whether to put the TeniPuri rant I was planning for quite some time here, or save it for later. Anyway, I really need to go walk the dog and cook dinner, so whichever it is, it'll wait till later.
